Jan. 6th, 2010 @ 09:22 am I dreamed I visited England
a rather surreal one, but I think it was England. The only weird thing was to get to my hotel I had to walk over what I think was the top of the London Bridge. And I was lost all the time. lol. Always looking for my hotel. And there seemed to be a lot of squirrels eating gourds from little decorative landscaping on the sides of the sidewalk. An older English gentleman had to help me walk through them, then the handle on my suitcase broke. And this black female bobby took me with her to some kind of market where she had to investigate something. She entered the place blowing this long whistle that sort of looked like a dog's whistle, no one found it odd. Just a weird dream. It wasn't until my last day there that I realized I didn't look up my friend, David Taub, who is real and does live in England. He visited me once and we went on tour together. First time I ever dreamed of going to England. Like that could ever happen.

Jan. 6th, 2010 @ 06:04 am I put "The Abduction" on the Burning Pen
I woke up early and did it. Man, writing those cgi review boards is murder. I'm doing a bit of fasting, drinking water and cranberry juice. I think I might be getting a urinary tract infection/bladder infection. I used to get them frequently when I was younger. I haven't had one since I moved down here eleven years ago, but I remember the signs. Sigh. Hopefully I'll flush it out before it gets a hold and I have to go to the doctor. There's supposed to be some element in cranberry juice that doesn't allow the bacteria to cling to the inner walls, and then by drinking plenty of water, it can be flushed out. But I couldn't find 100% Cranberry juice, so I had to go with the No Sugar Added 100% Juice (not cocktail) by Ocean Spray. I might try and find a health food store today and see if they have the tablet form. Hope it doesn't cost too much. You know how expensive healthy things are. I'll probably call around first.

Jan. 4th, 2010 @ 06:02 pm My pressure cooker went INSANE!
Oh man, my heart's STILL palpitating. It seems I put too much water or too much pigsfeet in the poor thing. I turned it down like I always do after it starts wooshing, but I guess I didn't turn it down far enough. Water started POURING OUT and steam was everywhere.

Whoo. I was so scared, but I had to get it off the iron. Man, you should have seen me darting back and forth. lolol. I pulled it off and ran into my bedroom. It's a really strong pot with a really strong ridged, locking top, but I've heard about deadly exploding pressure cookers. I peeked out and watched as the ruckus died down, then took off the perc part to let the steam and pressure out completely. Of course I hightailed it back to the room until it was done. Then I opened it and checked the contents. Yep, too much water was in it because the water is at the level it should be right now. So, I sealed it back up and put it back on, but at a lower heat level. I'm willing to wait an extra half hour than get blown up. Death by pigsfeet isn't a glorious way to go at all. lol.

Epitath: She meet her demise by not being wise and putting the heat to too many pigs feet.

Jan. 4th, 2010 @ 05:29 pm Yum! Pigsfeet time :)
I get pigsfeet once a month from Piggly Wiggly's. Mmmm. I also did a bit of bulk shopping rather than just getting enough things for a month. I bought an 8 pack of Scotties bathroom tissue. Only buy Scotties. It's more expensive, but there's so much on the rolls that I only use about 3 rolls a month. I bought some more spices. Some red pepper and thyme for now. I also bought a welcome mat (regular) because dirt really clings to your feet when you come in. To save on sweeping, I broke down. A huge box of 80 kitchen trash bags. I only use about 3 or 4 a week, so I'm set. The rest of my boring list was done too. I remembered to get Comet cleanser. My mom used to use it on the tub and it really cleaned well. I like the smell of it too, reminds me of my child hood. Oh, and thirty washcloths that can double for kitchen cloths for 5 bucks. I hit the Family Dollar. I also bought a 4 piece bathroom set, the floor rug, little thing that goes around the bottom of the toilet, the little cover that goes on top and the seat cover. I can't get the seat cover to fit though. It keeps slipping off. :(( Aggravating. I put it up for now. Will try again later or see if Dell can do it. I get frustrated so easily. oh and I couldn't find any potporri, so I bought Earth Incense. It smells great and I'm current burning Sandalwood. lol. Guess why. Snert. Ah, the pressure cooker just started whooshing. Gotta go ****

Jan. 3rd, 2010 @ 01:07 pm Colbie Caillat - Realize: Video
I used this song in "Looping" when Hermione and Severus kissed for the first time. I love this video, because it's a simple setting, no glitz, just music, singing and soul. I just feel her words deep down and wanted to share it with y'all. Beautiful song and songstress.

Jan. 2nd, 2010 @ 05:18 pm Anyone feel like cluing me in on "Mafia Wars?"
It's all over facebook. That and some Farm game. I generally don't do games, too time consuming but it really looks like people are having fun. I've looked up some stuff about it on the web, but I think I need to hear from people who actually play it to get the geist of it. You know, what's so fun about it, and how much time has to be devoted to it. I've read up on survival tips and such, but don't really know how to play it or if I want to play it. I think people would be out to kill me because I am not the nicest person in games, or the most trustworthy. lol. I have a Slytherinish attitude. But I am pretty loyal after some trust is set. Still, if anyone feels like talking about it, I'm all ears (eyes). Thanks.

Jan. 2nd, 2010 @ 12:43 pm I'm going to have to break down and buy some utensils, bowls, plates and sheets
Titi and the kids are coming down in February, and I still only have a plate, two forks, two spoons, one steak knife, a bowl/cup and a microwavable dish with a cover. That's fine for me, but not three other people. I need to get two more kitchen chairs too. Plus, I'd like to cook some things that I can't do right now. I plan to go to Goodwill, the Salvation Army and the Waterfront Mission first, probably Tuesday and see if they have any good cooking pots. I don't mind if they're used, just that they're good thick pots. I need to get sheets too. Twin, full and queen. I'm sure they have them. Time to ready my place for more than just me. I wanted roast chicken the other day, but don't have a roasting pan. Can't hold out any longer. I have to get these things.

Jan. 1st, 2010 @ 09:32 am Blame it on the Alcohol: Obama Version: Blame it on the Economy
lol. This is a great spoof starring Sarah Palin, Joe Biden and even Blagovitch or whatever. Can't bother to look up the spelling. It's almost better than the original. What got me was how much the woman playing Michelle Obama actually looked like her. And she could sing her ass off. And the Palin look alike was getting DOWN! lolol. Here's the video.

Jan. 1st, 2010 @ 09:20 am I had fun last night . . . but
I've never been hit on by so many women in my life. lol. It was crazy. I have nothing against women, but I'm strictly dickly. lol. I think I kind of have this butch vibe, I was a tomboy growing up and I'm not shy and retiring by a long shot. So, the pretty girls hug up on me. :::shakes head::: I'm never rude though, and to be honest I prefer a woman hugging up on me than a man because a guy is too intrusive. Women hug all the time. But it was a very nice night. I was almost tempted to bring someone home, but I resisted the urge. I didn't want to be a living example of the song, "Blame It on the Alcohol." lol. Here's the song if you've never heard it:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Jw24LbeV-w

Jamie Foxx sings it. I can't believe he's come so far. I remember his debut on I think it was Mad TV. Now he's an actor, a good one and a recognized singing star. Go Jamie! I hope you all had a good New Year. I toasted all of you at midnight last night. I was ripped, so I did a generalized "This is for ALL my girls!"

The bartender didn't appreciate me tipping a bit of my shot on the floor though. That's the drink y'all would have taken. An offshoot of "for the brothers that aren't here" kind of thing. But I did wipe it up with a napkin after explaining why I did it. :)

Dec. 31st, 2009 @ 07:37 pm Just wondering how y'all like the "quiet" Snape in Scenario
I want to keep him this way throughout the story. Is anyone feeling him, or do you want more out of him? Just wondering. You know, new exploration, a bit of retiecene, etc, ctc. I love following my heart with stories, but I still like to know if it's at least interesting. I think it will become maddening, but in a good way. He's going to have to say more than 10 words sooner or later. lol. I've been getting a little guff for "rushed" stories or in other words (my words) short stories. A lot of people are used to long stories from me, but you know with the moving, trying to grab the muse's coat tails, recovering from Looping, I'm just trying to write right now, you know. There have been longer lapses and I need to keep writing daily or I might fall off completely. I feel a little guilt at disappointing people who love the longer stories, but I think if I don't do this for a while, until something grabs me again, I might not write for weeks at a time. So the chapters and stories are shorter, but I'm trying. Scenario might prove to be the next detailed story though. Again, I'm not sure where it's going. I'm pretty sure it's going to be a drama though. There might be some points where a little humor could be inserted, but a dark humor, like when Severus was completely capable of getting his books back. Things of that nature. Don't know how I'll pull off a happy ending, but I think a lot of angst is going to be in this one. Just started my early partying. Getting my pre-New Year buzz on. Yeah, baby! lol. ***

arguing. It's not a good omen. Bring it in doing something kind or loving so it'll keep up all year. Try your hardest y'all. I'm wishing only the best things for you and it's good to start out on the right foot. If last comes to last just think, "Ms_Figg is counting on me." :)) Pretty please with Severus on top. Or bottom. Or curled around your back. lolol.

Dec. 31st, 2009 @ 06:38 pm Quick New Year's after party eats
Thank goodness Lilbit (pet name) mentioned food. I'd forgotten all about food. I'm going to need to eat when I come home. I don't have much here, so I chopped up some green and red pepper, an onion and a large clove of garlic and fried it with some sausage meat. Then I added rice (rice-a-roni style) fried it, added water and now it's simmering. I'm going to add a can of black eyed peas to it when finished, cover it and leave it out for when I get home. That with my 3 glasses of water ought to fix me up nicely to face the sun tomorrow. lol. Thanks R*. I would have forgotten all about eating if not for your post. :) Good looking out.

Dec. 31st, 2009 @ 03:19 pm My plans . . .
Ok, here are my plans for now. I've put away my clothes and cleaned. It's three now, and I'm kind of tired since I was up very early writing this morning. I'm going to try and get a good long nap, maybe until 7. Then I'll shower and get all gussied up. Then, I will have a couple of warm up drinks here at the house. That will save me money. Dell is going to give me thirty dollars of the money she owes me. That's more than enough. I won't be doing any expensive drinks. I'll just stick to vodka. One of the cheapest drinks really. Then, I'm going to walk down to the bar, pay my five dollars and party like it's 2009. lol. Well, that's the plan. Oh, and to find someone fine to kiss when the New Year comes in. ;) Anyone care to share their plans? Dell's going to be at church. What fun. lol.
